SURGERY

PES has a brand new, purpose built onsite facility. Our standing surgery is available for a variety of procedures, where the  horse is appropriately sedated for operation- without having to undergo general anaesthesia. 

Some of the common standing surgeries we perform with specialist surgeon Dr Hadley Willsallen include (but are not limited to):

• Standing tie backs

• Epiglottic entrapment surgery 

• Ophthalmic procedures, such as corneal grafting

• Condylar lag screw fixation

• Simple fragment removal via arthroscopy

• Sequestrum removal

• Tendon sheath lavage

We also accomodate for routine surgical procedures such as castration of colts, reparation of wounds etc.
